The 2004 Sample Test Booklet includes ten items from each event
in last year's contest, for all three grade levels. These questions are
representative of concepts and problems to be included in this year's contest.
This year the Sample Test Booklet is once again free of charge on this Internet
web site. You can view and print the 2004 Sample Test Booklet, as well as
those from 1996 to 2003, using
Adobe Acrobat Reader, which you can download free from the Adobe
Internet website. To print a document from within Adobe Acrobat
Reader, be sure to use the printer button on the Acrobat Reader
menu bar, not the print command inside your web browser.
Note: If you have difficulties viewing pdf files from the browser
after installing Acrobat Reader, please do the following:
If you have upgraded your computer's operating system or your web browser since downloading Acrobat Reader, try downloading a new copy of Acrobat Reader from the Internet.
If you are using Netscape, try Internet Explorer. If you are using Internet Explorer, try Netscape.
If you cannot view the pdf file directly
on your screen, you may still be able to download it as a
file on your local drive. If using Netscape, highlight
(right click) the link and choose "Save Link
As." If using Internet Explorer, right click the
link and choose "Save Target As." Then, open
your Adobe Acrobat Reader and open the pdf file you just
saved.
If you are unable to download these files off the Internet, you can request a single hard copy of the Sample Test Booklet from Melynda Reeter, MCTM Executive Secretary, UMKC, 309 Education, 5100 Rockhill Rd., Kansas City, MO 64110, Office: (816) 235-2450, Fax: (816) 235-5270, MCTM@umkc.edu. Please request no more than one hard copy per school and make your own photocopies as needed.
